Things You Need to Know (terms and conditions)

How to use this site?
NOTE: We recommend LOGGING IN if you have a portal account. If you do not already have a portal account one will be created at checkout unless otherwise requested.
Add the items you are chasing to your cart, and at check out please choose where you want to Pay&Send or Laybuy. IMPORTANT - items in your cart are NOT RESERVED and may not be available at checkout if someone has beaten you to them.
PAY & SEND vs LAYBUY
- INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS - Pay and Send is not available to orders outside of Australia at this time. You will be invoiced as per our laybuys (below)
- Invoices go out via email on Thursdays, sometime before Midnight. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING CORRECT POSTAL AND CONTACT DETAILS
- ONE payment per Invoice (minimum) each week. MINIMUM PAYMENT is 10% of your order, and no less than $5. If you are suffering hardship please contact us and we can reduce your payment to just $5 for THREE PAYMENTS ONLY. Do not pay more than the amount on your invoice. We don't have the ability to handle "pay ahead" payments.
- MAX 2 INVOICES per customer. You will need to clear out one of those invoices before adding another.
- ALL INVOICES must be paid within 4 months of initial creation. No items may be added at all if you have an invoice overdue.
- You MUST use your invoice number when paying your invoice if you use Direct Deposit/bank transfer . Not using your invoice number may result in your payment coming off the incorrect invoice. WE take no liability to payments misapplied due to incorrect invoice number. Direct deposit/bank payments are manually processed Tuesday and Thursday. The bank may take up to 24hrs to put the money in our account.
- You cannot add anything further to and invoice marked BOX FULL. The box is full. Items will be added to an active invoice until that invoice is FULLY PAID and payment has been processed, BOX FULL or you request INVOICE CAP via PM before any additional goods are added.
- If you make a payment on Thursday it will NOT be off your Invoice when you get emailed one that day. Nor will it be posted that day!
- All cancellations incur a 25% restocking fee. You will then receive your PAID goods to the value you have paid, minus the fee and postage costs. No monies will be returned to the buyer unless requested. If the deposit does not cover the cancellation fee, we reserve the right to bill you for the outstanding amount.
- These terms do not negate the guarantees provided under Australian Consumer Law

Postage
We aim to have all orders shipped within a week of final payment, with most typically within a few days. This may be delayed by major disasters (usually flooding). ALL PARCELS are sent with tracking numbers.
SHIPPING TIMES are in the hands of the Postal Gods and are NEVER guaranteed by us.
AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS:
Pay and Sendis charged at $12 postage regardless of size. Large items must be shipped separately and should be put through as a separate transaction. Orders over $80 will receive $1 (yes, one dollar!) shipping. This will be calculated at checkout automatically
Laybuys will be quoted post on the emailed invoice based on the costs of getting your parcel to you, as this isn't possible to estimate at checkout if you already have other items. Typically, the rates are $10 small satchel, $16 medium satchel, $21 large satchel/box under 5 kg, and $25-32 for courier boxes. Invoices of smaller items are capped at a $21 box, while single larger items up to 16kg will go courier. Over 16kg will require shipping via pack-n-send (usually amethyst cathedrals) and it is a good idea to check out rates before purchasing.
Shipments are all Authority to leave. If a safe place cannot be found they will leave a card with instructions for you to arrange re delivery or collection at a later time.

ALL Customs and Import feees, taxes and duties are the responsibility of the customer.

Breakages, Cancellations, Missing Items and Returns
All cancellations
Cancellations incur a 25% restocking fee. You will then receive your PAID goods to the value you have paid, minus the fee and postage costs. No monies will be returned to the buyer unless requested. If the deposit does not cover the cancellation fee, we reserve the right to bill you for the outstanding amount.
Staff reserve the right to cancel your order if the agreed terms are not met.

International Customers (Non-Australian)

General Disclaimer
Any Credits issued by GG must be used within 3 years or they will be absorbed by the company.
We take no liability if you do something stupid with your purchase, or for any injury caused by dropping, mishandling, inserting, ingesting or otherwise interacting with your piece.
- We do not recommend ingesting or inserting any rock, fossil or mineral specimen into any part of your body.
- All information is provided for entertainment purposes only. While we endeavor to be as accurate as possible, we are only human.
- Some specimens require special handling and storage. We recommend researching the care and handling of any piece you buy.
